Since it’s inception in 1992, Gold Shield Training Center has developed into one of the leading training facilities operating in the New York metropolitan area.  We are a privately owner-operated company with our principals being involved in all aspects of our operations.  It is our mission to provide individuals and businesses alike the most professional training available today.

 

As you may already know, all security personnel are required to meet certain state requirements in order to work in the security industry.  We at Gold Shield Training Center are certain that we will meet all of your training needs.  We guarantee that your security staff will be completely brought up to New York State training regulations, providing they are in compliance with the requirements of New York State.

 

Gold Shield Training Center offers a full spectrum of all state mandated training courses including the 8 Hour Pre-assignment Training Course and 16 Hour On-The-Job Training Course for Security Guards, the 47 Hour Firearms Training Course for Armed Security Guards and Armored Car Guards, the 99 Hour Initial Peace Officer Training Course and all the state mandated retrain courses.   In addition, Gold Shield Training Center offers a wide variety of specialized training courses such as the NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course, First Aid, CPR & AED Training, Defense Tactics Training Courses, Active Shooters, Metal Detection Training, Weapons of Mass Destruction Training, Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) & Bomb Threats Training, Threat Assessments & School Crisis Planning, and much more.

 

All of our instructors are certified by New York State, Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), New York Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors and/or National Rifle Association (NRA) Law Enforcement Instructors all who have extensive training in their expertise.  All our firearms instructors work in accordance with our full service federal firearms licensed dealer.

 

Furthermore, Gold Shield Training Center is associated with RDT Security LTD., a Watch Guard & Patrol Agency with armed & unarmed security guards, Pioneer Shooting Center, a NEWLY RENOVATED in 2014 private shooting range facility, and RT Smoke’N Gun Shop, a full service Federal Firearms Licensed Dealer where firearms, ammunition and other gun accessories are available for purchase.  Gold Shield Training Center is also a life member of The Law Enforcement Alliance of America since 2004.
